The Greens speak of a “strong tailwind for the last days before the Bundestag election”. Tens of thousands have flocked into the party since the end of the traffic light coalition.
Since the break of the traffic light coalition on November 6th, the Greens have said that they have recorded a significant thrust of new inputs. “Overall, our party now has over 168,000 members. We are more Greens than ever,” said the political federal manager Pegah Edalatian in Berlin.
42,425 people have applied for membership in the party since the traffic lights. There may be a few weeks between the application and the admission as a member. According to the party, the Greens currently have 168,817 members.
